ICNYU Summer Hadith Intensive “And take that which the Messenger has given to you...” the Holy Qur’an, Surat al-Hashr, verse 7. The hadith of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, are integral to help one understand Islam. For the first time ever, the Islamic Center at NYU will be hosting a 4 week intensive program covering hadith from various angles. Program Highlights : Commentary, guided reading and memorization of The 40 Hadith of Imam Nawawi Commentary, guided reading, and memorization of Al-Bayquniyyah - a classical text on hadith methodology Introductions to various books of hadith and their authors/compilers Studying the lives of prominent hadith scholars Group discussions on how to implement the hadith that are studied in our lives today A study of the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him Price: $800 - includes all books, course materials and lunch. Financial Aid and Scholarships are available (more info ) Dates: Monday thru Thursday, June 1st - June 30th, 10:00AM to 6:00PM The application deadline is May 23rd, or until all seats are filled. Students will be considered and notified of their acceptance on a rolling basis.
