Mentor Match

Thank you for participating in the Islamic Center at NYU Alumni Association’s Alumni-Student Link mentorship program. Our goal is to foster professional relationships within the ICNYU community. This includes the ICNYUAA, UMA (United Muslim Association), MGSG (Muslim Graduate Study Group), and other such ICNYU associations. Below is a guideline all mentors/mentees must follow as well as a helpful timeline.

Guideline:

1. Fill out mentor/mentee profile detailing academic and professional background, career goals, and expectations of program.
   Send to hjeddy@gmail.com.

2. Pairs formed. Mentors and mentees matched according to profile information.

• Responsibility of maintaining relationship lies with pair

• Means of communication/meeting depends on pair’s preference

• Mentors may take on multiple mentees at their discretion

3. Pair must provide short update on relationship every month by emailing Hana Jeddy.

• Ensures all resources are efficiently used

• If match is not rewarding, pairs can choose to be reassigned given available resources
